A movement to celebrate being seen, heard, and understood, it starts with LOVE it's a big DEIL.

San Diego Chapter DEIL Advisory Committee Purpose:

 To provide guidance, advice, and expertise on DEI issues, policies, or initiatives to be either rolled out through each committee within IREM San Diego (as the primary goal), or facilitated directly by the committee itself. The committee plays a critical role in shaping DEI decisions by offering recommendations, insights, and perspectives from their areas of expertise or experience.

 ·         Provide Advice and Enhance Decision Making:

The committee's primary role is to offer specialized knowledge, advice, and recommendations that can guide the DEI initiative within the different standing committees. These recommendations can pertain to strategic direction, policy, or program development.

·         Foster Engagement:

The committee shall serve as a bridge for our DEIL initiative to our standing committees as well as our members, community groups, trade organizations or specific stakeholder groups, allowing for open dialogue and increasing transparency and trust. Committee members may often have their own networks and connections, which can help build collaborations, partnerships, or resources that benefit the organization or project.

·         Support Long-Term Planning and Strategy:

Members of the committee shall help guide the long-term vision, goals, and strategies of IREM San Diego by providing feedback on evolving trends, challenges, or opportunities.

·         Offer Accountability and Oversight:

The committee shall provide a level of oversight and accountability, ensuring that the initiative is moving in the right direction and is aligned with the mission, values, or objectives of IREM San Diego.
