January 2019 Networking Luncheon:

"Managing & Mitigating Homelessness on Your Properties "

Explore the impact of the homeless population on properties, as well as services for homeless and SDPD enforcement.

To be covered:

  • A brief history of the Homeless Outreach Team ("HOT") and other outreach programs, as well as services offered.
  • A description of the Serial Inebriate Program ("SIP"), a program addressing chronic alcoholics and their super consumption of resources.
  • An overview of enforcement policies, including the newly formed Neighborhood Policing Division and reporting procedures.
  • Partnership and collaboration opportunities.

 

Guest Speakers:

Lt. Charles Lara, Neighborhood Policing Division, Homeless Outreach Team, SDPD.  Lt. Lara is a 19 year veteran of the SDPD. He is currently the Lt. of Neighborhood Policing Division’s Homeless Outreach Team (HOT). He is responsible for the SDPD’s provision of city-wide outreach services to persons experiencing homelessness, the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT) and the Serial Inebriate Program (SIP). 

Lt. Corissa F. Pich, Neighborhood Policing Division, SDPD. Lt. Pich is a nine year veteran of the SDPD. She is currently the Lt. of  Neighborhood Policing Division’s Investigative unit and eight enforcement teams throughout the City of San Diego.
